Yes, I know I said IWHYM v10 was to be runneth with PINK, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. Was going to overload you guys with sakura petals and candy floss pink, but I think I gagged somewhere in between. Thought alot about this layout and was wondering if I should use DHTML, frames or just plain ol' trustworthy tables. Unfortunately for me (and fortunately for schiiro), I gave up the idea of DHTML as I wanted people to be able to read the blog. No use having a blog that can't be read. (Heck, only 1.9% plus minus of surfers use NS v6.0, Enuf' said.) Wasn't comfortable with frames, so I ended up with tables. That meant that I had to redesign my entire layout, hence the delay.

And live with the font colour cos' they are going to stay this way till the next layout.

It was a sucky day today, at training.

Apparently, I am one of the worst players in the team now. And I know exactly who to blame for my downfall......Me, myself and I. I felt like shit when my captain refused to let me take part in the 4X400m or 4X100m relays. And it hurt like hell when all my capatin could say was "Face reality, Kill. I can run faster than you now." So, here I am. The wheel has come full circle. From being one of the fastest player, to...*shrugs*

I nothing am.

It's not like I can't do better. I can. I know it. No, this is not my ego speaking. Even with an injured knee, I used to outrun most of my team. It's the lack of determination, the numberous trainings I missed and the attitude problem. I know myself. I am flawed, but I know what I am capable of and what I am not. And it is in me to be one of the best players in the team. Nothing is going to stop me....except me, myself and I. It's not the injured knee. I outran them. It's not my captain's longer legs. That's a pathetic excuse. Its just me. The trainings that I missed, improved everyone's stamina (which I am sorely lacking) and speed.

Say I am egoistic, say I overestimate my capablities, say anything. I have a competetive streak in me, a mile wide. If I am going to do anything, I have to be one of the best. That, or I'll simply not do it at all. *shrugs* Not neccessary the best amongst the best, but to be one of them, that's all I ask. Nothing short will satisfy me. And I know that I'm capable of doing it, else why I joined the sport in the first place. There's so many other sports activites out there, offering new experiences. I could have just joined back basketball or swimming, 2 sports in which I was a competitive player. Since I chose touch rugby, I have to do my best, be one of the best.

Call it my personality, call it my obessession, call it a result of my upbringing. My father told me that if one has to do something, always do the best job out of it. It saves you the extra time and effort needed to redo it. Not only that, at least at the end of the day, you can hold your head up high, knowing that you did your best and not mourning that you could have done better. This is the creed I live by....even though I sometimes fail. *shrugs* So this time round, I can't blame anyone but myself. Truth's a bitter pill to swallow. I may not like it, but I don't remember it asking for my opinion. I'll not have any medals to mark my JC years. I'll take that as a lesson and move on in life.

For those who lack imagination, try thinking Chabo. Yes, the guy who sang the ending theme for "Lain", "Far Shout". J sounds a tad like that.....just better. ^^.....and if you have NO idea how the song sounds like nor who/what the heck "Lain" is, Gott help you.

I never knew that I would get so deep into Luna Sea, so attached, so hooked, addicted. In fact, I never really heard of any of their tracks/albums/singles till early last year, when they released their "Gravity" single. Heck, "Gravity" wasn't even the first track of theirs that I d/loaded. There I was, cruising around in the cyberspace, looking for something to d/load. Then I saw it. "My Lover". With time to spare, internet connection to splurge and brain cells to burn, heck, I went with it. Some 30++mins later and in the middle of the night, I had my first experience of the Luna Sea magic.

And boy, was I hooked.

Maybe it was the strange vocals ^^;;;;, maybe it was the wailing guitars, maybe it was the steady drum beats, maybe it was the fantastic bass, I don't know. Whatever it was, it was Luna Sea. So with that track, I took a gamble and bought their "Never Sold Out" without even finding out who the heck those guys were. Lugged the CD all the way to a overseas trip and was happily listening to it ALL the way to and back.

And thus was the beginning of the end.

To say the truth, like most people, the first thing I took notice was the wailing guitars (Sugizo + Inoran).....that, or the weird vocals (Ryuichi ^^;;;). It took countless repeat playing of the CDs, total concentration and more than a few hundred brain cells to realise that there was more to it than the said two.

There was the discreet but ever present bass. Not just some ordinary bass, but some frigging gottbedarned hel of a good bass playing. Not just some endless monotonous repetitions of a few chords, but it was actually bass playing.

I love the deep vibrations, I love the variety, I love the bad ass bassist.

So I have a soft spot for bad/kick ass personalities, so I have a soft spot for people who walk on the wild side, drink booze, race bikes and never grow up. Add that all up in a package with short cropped blonde hair (Yea, I like him with his short hair. Bite me.), a wild streak of sheer talent, hands of 7-8 inches in length *rolls over and dies XD XD XD XD XD XD*, the ability to stand up to the world and defy it and a huge goofy grin, you'll get J. He was honest. He was pissed about the breaking up of Luna Sea and he never did bother to hide it. He is J and he will not be conformed.

Simply because he is J.
